Contrails and chemtrails
We have all become accustomed to those white streaks left by jet planes. Unfortunately, not everyone knows that they are of two kinds: contrails and chemtrails.
Contrails are those normal condensation streaks that form due to water from the exhaust gases of jet engines. Contrails can form only where the outside temperature is very low, this means around 9000 meters altitudes or above.
To form the contrails the temperature of gases emitted by the aircraft engines must decrease, this is why they will only appear at a considerable distance behind the body of the aircraft and disperse very quickly.
However, some people believe that many contrails are so-called chemtrails: chemicals that are voluntarily introduced into the atmosphere to poison humans or influence the climate. A key indicator of this is that white stripes can be seen in also in the clearer sky and only behind some planes.
But there are scientific explanations for both: in order for contrails to form, the air has to be far less saturated than for the natural clouds, the so-called cirrus clouds, which occur at a similar height. Cirrus clouds develop with a 40 percent over saturation.
The contrails are anthropogenic, artificial clouds. They have a warming effect (greenhouse effect) because they prevent heat radiation from the earth to enter space. At the same time, they can help cool the earth – because they reflect the sun’s rays in space. Scientists believe that it predicts the effect of heating.
Some people believe that there is a large-scale manipulation behind which there is a world conspiracy. The Secret Large Scale Atmospheric Program (SLAP) is said to be designed to manipulate us. The contrails are actually chemtrails that are released into the atmosphere to poison or manipulate us.
Government tries to poison us
In a study, scientists examined what atmospheric scientists and geochemists think of the SLAP theory. The result: there is no scientifically conclusive evidence of SLAP. They point out that sticking to the idea of such a program could distract people from the real problems that we need to concern about.
Conspiracy theorists believe that government agencies and large corporations use airplanes to spread toxic substances such as aluminum and barium compounds. The latter is a highly radioactive element.
However, conspiracy theorists disagree on how the toxic substances are distributed: some suspect hidden sprayers on the plane that spread the substances. Others believe that the toxins are added to kerosene – the fuel for aircraft.
They also disagree on the reasons for spraying chemicals: some of them assume that chemtrails are used for geoengineering – for example, changing the weather and temperature and other believe it is a measure to reduce the population; the substances being able to reduce fertility and life expectancy.
Measures that can (and should) influence the weather on a specific land portion. For example, airplanes distribute silver iodide smoke to “treat” clouds in order to produce less hail, so the harvest is protected.
A similar technique is said to have been used, for example, at the Olympic Games in China so that the competitions can take place without rain. However, such measures are only suitable for small-scale, regional applications. The effectiveness of this method has not yet been scientifically proven.
Large-scale interventions are summarized under the term “geoengineering”, which are intended to mitigate the climate change consequences. Such measures are also discussed for interventions in the chemistry of the atmosphere, especially the so-called “Solar Radiation Management” (SRM).
The idea is that this could slow down global warming or even stop it.
SRM is intended to limit the amount of sun rays that hit the earth’s surface. This can be done with the help of sulfur, more precisely: with so-called sulfate aerosols. The idea behind it: sulfur dioxide is thrown into the stratosphere and converted there into sulfate aerosols.
This technology was modeled on large volcanic eruptions – in the past, they have led to a slight global cooling of temperatures (such as the eruption of Pinatubo in the Philippines in 1991).
Other conspiracy theories
Another conspiracy theory also says that the state wants to keep the population calm in order to be easier to manipulate it.
Others suspected that seed manufacturers want to have monopoly because chemtrails make conventional seeds less productive. In order to remain in the market, farmers have to buy genetically modified seeds.
Some conspiracy theorists see contrails themselves as evidence of chemtrails. However, it is perfectly normal for airplanes to produce such lines in the sky. Depending on the temperature, wind speed and humidity, these contrails can be seen for different lengths of time before they dissolve.
If toxic chemicals are secretly spread via regularly scheduled flights, this represents an enormous administrative effort. In addition, so many people would be involved that the whole project would have been exposed years ago.
Hidden nozzles would be noticed during pre-flight inspections and introducing chemicals over the fuel would accelerate the engine wear. Furthermore, the chemicals in the fuel would have to be heat-resistant, which limits the choice of chemical substances.
In fact, it is possible to use aircraft to spread chemicals that change the weather. All over the world there are airplanes who inject the clouds with silver iodide before an approaching storm in order to avoid major hail damage on the harvest. This is particularly important for agriculture.
However, this does not happen in secret. There are also dedicated aircraft for this.
