I have read many articles, books and magazines that claim that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Since we were young children we also heard our parents say the same thing.
The importance of breakfast
I do not recall a single person that would not suggest that my entire life. we hear everywhere that we need to eat some carbs in the morning so we can have the needed energy during the day. Is this true? Do we really need that?
I am not a breakfast person and I know a few people who are just like me. Another thing that forced me to eat for breakfast or at least made me try to was the idea that only this way you can lose weight or preserve your actual weight. My problem when I tried that was that in short while I was hungry again.
I always believed that it is something wrong with me. Each time I have tried to change my eating behavior I gained more weight than I had before or I did not lose some at all.
In the following rows of this article I will try to prove if this theory spread worldwide is just a myth or it is for real.
About the breakfast
Being a nutritionist these days seem to be many people dream. They seem to gain great incomes and the only thing they do is to recommend other people what and when should they eat. When I hear their speeches, it seems that all sounds similar. They say practically the same thing. So why are they so special?
To return to our main topic, namely breakfast, I have made some researches that there are areas in this world filled with fit people who never heard of breakfast. I see myself in this picture. I forgot to mention in the previous introduction that when I eat I feel like resting or even sleeping. So where is the energy? These people that I talk about live in tribes and they usually take their first meal in late afternoons. Some of them only eat in the evening after they have worked, hunted or whatever else, the entire day.
The well known theories are based on scientific researches, so at least this is what we know, but the reality might differ sometimes. The people from these tribes are from being fat or unhealthy. They actually live longer than the rest of us and even when they do eat, they choose small portions of foods.
