Let’s start with the most known benefits of nuts. They can be used in a variety of ways. You can add them to salads, you can eat them just as they are or you can choose the nuts’ butter, which is great for breakfast or as snack between the main meals.

They can be easily found in any supermarket or local store. Their prices are far from being too high. This means that anyone can afford to buy them without restraining their budgets. You should go for the raw version of nuts but the toasted ones can be just as good if they are not toasted in oil, namely fried. If the 175 Celsius degrees toasting temperature is preserved they will also preserve their nutritional qualities. They do not need to be refrigerated but if you choose to do that, their freshness might last longer.

Beside the aspect detailed above, you will also reduce a stroke or heart attack risk. One of the things that could generate such problems is the high level of bad cholesterol in your blood. Nuts might contain fats but as I already said these are good fats and the level of LDL, which is the bad cholesterol will decrease if you consume nuts in regular basis.

As I previously said nuts are filled with fibers. This is something very important when you want your digestive system to function properly. Fibers are a real treasure for your colon. Beside your colon, also your gut will thank you if you add nuts to your daily nutrition. The entire digestion process will be improved and your metabolism will speed up. This is one of the reasons for which most nutritionists include nuts in people’ diets.

Nuts have anti-inflammatory properties as well. They are effective when it comes about internal inflammations. This does not mean that they can replace the allopath treatments for such problems but they can certainly help. You must be aware the internal inflammations could lead to serious diseases such as heart diseases.

Even if they do not contain carbs or sugars, nuts can offer a high level of energy. This means that if you suffer of diabetes and you are not allowed to consume many things that contain sugars or carbs no matter how natural they might be, you are certainly allowed to consume nuts. As I previously said, you should not expect miraculous effects. Nuts are able to improve your health but if you have a serious illness for which you follow a medical treatment you should not stop the treatment and start eating nuts. Just add them to your diet so you can help the medicines to work better for you.

What is great about these nuts is the fact that they are filled with antioxidants. These antioxidants are useful for your organism so it can fight against free radicals. If you did not know by now, free radicals are the ones to blame for cancer appearance and they show up in our organism due to heavy pollution, long sun exposure sessions, stressful environments and other things similar with these.

The nutrients of nuts, are very important for human’ organism. They might have  a bigger number of calories but things like proteins, monounsaturated fats, carbs, fibers, selenium or magnesium are just a few of them. If you just eat one hand of nuts each day you will benefit of all these nutrients and improve your health status considerably.


Nuts can be a great choice when you want to lose weight and stay healthy. They can help you prevent certain diseases. Improving your health should be your main goal. Only this way you can go on with your daily tasks and you can help the others around you.
