Best Tips for Students + Study Habits for Success

It’s not easy to be a successful student, but with work and determination you can become one. You do not want to pay for college anymore, you would like to praise yourself with great grades or even to stay with something at the end of the study years. Everything is possible!

It’s just that you have to become more organized, concentrate your attention on the ultimate goal. And this not just in session! This is the most stressful period, you do not have much time and you need to act quickly. It would be better to prepare yourself early.

Go to college!

At least at seminars and practical workshops.

Courses are not mandatory, sometimes you are wasting your precious time (when you’re on Facebook instead of taking notes), so try to help only the most exciting ones (especially those in the first and last weeks when you can gather the information required for the entire semester).

But do your best to get to the seminars. Would not it be a shame not to be able to pass the exam just for a minus presence?

Get timely courses / books / informational materials

If you wait for the session to ask all of your colleagues to send your courses, you will not have time to assimilate the matter.

If you have already been to the class or even read it once during the year, you will only have a recap of the session.

You will save time to understand its substrate, you will be able to search for other information about the topic, so you will have a clear advantage over your colleagues.

Respect the deadlines!

It’s a pity to send your assignement/work even a few hours after the deadline imposed by the teacher, then complain that it has not been taken into account.

In real life, such a situation can lead to something more than a small note. So do your best to complete the project and send it at least the day before (you have no way to know what might happen in the meantime (not having internet connection, forgetting, etc.).

Learn logically!

Even though we were small enough to memorize poems, literary comments of several pages, and other lessons, college does not go that way.

For one exam you may need a course support, three huge cards, 10 Power Points, and so on. You just do not think you can teach them all!

You should make a selection of the most important information, create connections, understand what each term and concept you are working with. Then you can emphasize them, you can make logical sketches, whatever helps you to keep a glimpse of what it is all about.

Read the essential chapters in the books, scan the slides quickly, but learn just what you need. Do not overload!

Answer questions only when you have something to say

We all have or had that colleague who spoke non-stop to all the seminars, but he did not say anything relevant.

Teachers generally are not impressed by such interventions. On the other hand, try to ask smart questions, complete with examples or give your opinion when you are sure of it.

Be active, but measure yourself.

Only then will you get the extra points for the activity. Who do you think are the most effective ways to become a good student?

I guess that, if you’re going to respect these small tips for students and follow some study habits for successful students, you will be successful, yourself, and your grades will reflect your efforts.
