The virus that causes the infection is called scientifically Human Papilloma Virus and is recognized under the HPV abbreviation. It is the one who determines the mode of affection, as well as the extent to which it is accompanied by symptoms or not. In total, there are over 100 roots of this virus, each of them behaving differently. Many times, HPV is associated with the appearance of inguinal warts, although there are cases in which they are not visible at all during the course of the disease.

There are types of HPV that involve or cause the development of cervical cancer as well as other cancers. In these cases, warts appear in other areas of the body, such as hands or feet.

However, most people who contact this infection manage to eradicate it with the medication. However, it is good to know that the longer the virus persists in the body, the higher the risk of developing cervical or anal cancer.

HPV Symptoms

The virus localizes and lives in the membranous mucosa, such as the genital area or the skin. If dwarfs arise, this may be a warning sign of eventual HPV infection. Small skin conditions may take various forms, showing any small, bloated, intense or non-pigmented stains. They can also be scattered like an inflorescence. Small or large, they can be located in the area of the anus, scrotum, cervix, thigh, or even on the penis.

Signs of HPV infection may also occur several weeks or months after the date when the unprotected sex occurred. For this reason, the person in question has no way of knowing that he is carrying HPV and that he has to protect his partners from that moment on. That’s why the best way to avoid the unpleasantness caused by the virus is to use condoms.

Because some types of HPV are associated with certain cancers, including cervical, vulva, anus, or penis cancers, it is good to know that they do not always come with visible signs of the disease.

The cells in those areas are affected, and until the onset of cancer, specific morphological changes occur. These are almost asymptomatic.
