Vegetables are essential for kids
Vegetables are undoubtedly some very healthy ingredients. They contain large amount of vitamins and minerals as well as fibers, which make them useful foods in weight loss diet, among other things. However, eating vegetables is not always accepted by people.
Even more, when it comes to children, vegetables are not the most attractive type of foods. Making kids eat more vegetables is the smartest thing to do to ensure they will grow healthy and happy.
Prepare crunchy vegetables
The texture of food is very important for children. The children have to recognize foods as something fun and tasty. So, do not cook vegetables very much.
Serve them slightly steamed or raw. Crisp texture is preferred to children, as the noise produced when chewing them is very attractive.
Make the veggies look attractive
It is true that a spinach puree is not attractive at first glance. To prevent a definite refusal ever since the plates are placed on the table, try to make art in the plate.
Cut the vegetables in different shapes, give them roles, create stories. A puree may be a scenery, a zucchini can be a boat, a carrot, the Sun, and so on.
Turn the vegetables into “superheroes”
Choose the children’s favorite characters and bring them to life using vegetables. Vegetables can be our “superheroes” because they help the body grow strong.
Teach your kids the colors with vegetables
Children like colors, so a variety of shades in the dish could be a fun game for them. You can place bowls of different spices, spinach, carrots, potatoes or red beet on the table and mix the baby in the dish. What can be more fun than eating a rainbow?
