On the 20th of August, after endless speculations, Jen-Hsun Huang, chief of Nvidia officially announced the release date of their new range of Graphic cards: Nvidia RTX 2070,2080 and 2080Ti. These where built based on a new architecture named Turing and the new RTX platform.
About Turing architecture
With this revolutionary Turing architecture, these video cards are yet to bring us the best video experience to the present, also with their release of this new technology they will shape the whole industry.
Although usually the release of a Ti version for a graphic card it is done separate and months later than the basic model its released, with the RTX 2080 range, Nvidia decided to release both versions at the same time.
After going through charts and data sheets which shows on paper what their new range is capable off, Jen-Hsun Huang presented the Graphic Cards RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti based on the new architecture these cards should perform 6 times better in almost any field than their predecessors which have at base Pascal architecture, also he stated that he worked about 10 years to develop the new Turing architecture.
While GTX 1080Ti delivers some impressive specs with 11 GB of GDDR5X VRAM, 3584 CUDA cores with base frequency of 1480 MHz and a overclock that takes it to 1582 MHz maximum, the new RTX 2080Ti brings 4352 CUDA cores with a base frequency of 1350 MHZ and boosted 1635 MHZ,has a video memory of 11 GB GDDR6 with a memory speed of 14 Gbps.
With this GPU also comes two extra types of cores which the GTX 1080 Ti never had : the RT cores and Tensore cores.
The RT cores specializes in calculating the way the light and sound spreads through a 3D environment at a rate of 10GigaRays, this means the RTX 2080 Ti is 25 times better at lights and reflections that the GTX 1080 Ti.
While Tensor cores are borrowed from Volta architecture and can support up to 500 trillion operations/second, very good for AI (artificial intelligence) like DLAA (deep learning anti-aliasing). Nvidia demonstrated how the RTX 2080 Ti uses its neural network to automatically colorize pictures and add detail to create a super high resolution images.
Gaming on the new technology
At the moment there is not such a big market of games to test these new GPU’s capabilities ,but in time the game developers will have to step-up and reinvent the gaming industry to current times and technology. The existing games though bring a pleasure to any gamer giving the performance of 4k with ease over 60 FPS hitting even 100 FPS even on ultra settings.

Considering money is not a problem you can pre-order them , the price announced at £1099 depending on the store for the RTX 2080 Ti (at the moment it is out of stock ), the RTX 2080 is at £749 and the RTX 2070 you can buy for £569.
