The vegetables today, if they are naturally grown in an unpolluted environment, they can only bring you benefits regarding your organs functioning abilities. They are able to lower your blood pressure, decrease your bad cholesterol, improve your blood flow, increase the level of your immunity system and they can help your lungs and liver to function at their highest ability.

If you think about the level of stress and pollution that we have to endure every day all these benefits can only help us to survive in better conditions.  The temptations that we must face every day, regarding food, such as fast food, alcohol, smoking and the lack of sleep can lower our chances of staying healthy. They will only cause the appearance of different kinds of dysfunctions and illnesses.

What types of vegetables should we eat?

Now, because the reason why we should eat these vegetables was established, now we may want to know which vegetables are the best for us. Some people may say that all of them. Others may say that they are good as long as we eat them in a raw state. This is not entirely true in any of the situations mentioned. The best veggies are the season’ veggies. When you feed yourself with what nature gives you in a specific period of the year, it means that you feed yourself exactly with what your organism desires. Are they all good? As long you do not notice any side effects such as flatulence or bloating’ syndromes things are great for you. Do you have to eat them raw? If you do not have stomach issues that may not help you tolerate raw food to well, you can eat them like that but the cooked version is just as good.

How to cook vegetables?

The full question will be how to cook them so everyone will like to eat them? Some people consider that cooking the vegetables means that you destroy all their nutrients. This is not true at all, as long you cook them properly so you can enjoy all their benefits. If you cook them right they will also look better and more tempting for everyone who sits at the table. Not too many persons will like to eat their meat simple with nothing added. Most people will also choose a nice salad or some nice gasket next to it. Let’s make this gasket from vegetables.

The main secret is to cook them less. Like that, they will preserve their color and their taste along with vitamins, antioxidants and everything else. Another tip will be to always use a bit of liquid when you cook them, even when you fry them. When I say a little bit of liquid it means a little, not too much. Even if you cook just a few vegetables, you should use a big pan. They should not stay one over another because you will turn your vegetables in some unaesthetic stew. They contain already enough water so you should not add too much.

Another secret is to not boil them too much if this is how you want to prepare them. They will not just lose their color but they will lose also their taste. Grilled vegetables can be a very good choice. Also, when you want to add oil, you should not add to much of it and you should choose olive oil instead of the one made from sunflower seeds.

What you must remember is that cooking them in your own home, will make them even more appealing. In time, you can even start eating less meat. You will notice quite soon the benefits that such diet brought into your life. You will feel more energized, you will get sick less often and you will even lose weight with no major efforts. You will see that this is just what you have missed before, so you could feel healthier. Fatty foods can get your belly filled but you will also feel more tired after such heavy meals.
