Nutritional doctors claim that when we decide to follow a diet, we can make some common mistakes without realizing it. Most of the time, the accumulated pounds are not going to vanish, although we are convinced that we have followed the weight loss diet exactly like it has been described. In fact, we are not.
Less food is not better
Specialists say that when the body receives less food than it needs, metabolism slows down the process of slimming.
The body immediately enters into the self-defense system and immediately begins to stock up.
‘For some people, starvation seems the most handy solution when they want to get rid of extra pounds, but they do not realize that metabolism can cause real imbalances, and hence the emergence of health problems is just one step away. Another mistake we make when we decide to start a weight-loss diet is eating on the run. Without realizing that we can taste the foods that contain calories (not eating on a hurry), slowly, we will accumulate extra pounds. It is important to go to a specialist doctor and, after thorough investigation, to receive a balanced, weight-loss diet,’ says a nutritional doctor.
Common mistakes when following a weight-loss diet
The most common mistakes we make when we follow a weight-loss diet:
- We are convinced that if we removed the sugar from our diet we can consume the dietary drinks without problems. Sweeteners contribute a lot to increasing the number of cases of obesity.
- When we adopt a low calorie diet, we will notice that instead of losing weight, we get fat. It is true that in the first stage we will lose some of the accumulated weight, but in the second stage things will change and the diet can have a reverse effect.
- It’s not advisable to give up all the fat, and it’s good to know its role. It facilitates the absorption of some vitamins and of the good cholesterol that contributes to cellular regeneration.
- Sport is more effective when it comes to slimming. Static exercises will not help us lose extra weight. Abdomen will only tighten up but will not always burn up the fat.
Nutritionists have also said we have to respect the diet point by point, and so we will notice that the results will appear immediately.
What are the mistakes we use to make?
Besides the common mistakes we all make when following a weight-loss diet (depicted above), there are some weight-loss mistakes you’re making at work every day.
Before jumping into the problem, you should be aware of the fact that working is occupying a lot of our time. Commonly, we’re spending around 10 hours per day with our jobs.
1-2 hours on the road, and around 8 hours working, Per Se.
This means a lot because it will leave us with only 14 hours of free time, among which, at least 8 hours we spend sleeping.
In conclusion, there are only 6 hours in which we can redirect our attention to hobbies, family, or to relaxation. But these 6 hours are split in two or three parts. 2 hours in the morning, 1 hour during the lunch break, and the rest of 3 hours at evening when getting back home.
Of course, there are more permissive jobs, or part-times, but I’m only talking about a common daily schedule the most people have.
Well, a schedule like the one described above, is not offering the necessary time for going to the gym, or jogging. Or at least, not during the business days. And then, when weekend comes, I bet you’d prefer relaxing with your family and/or friends at a barbecue or to go out at a pub or a club.
Thus, there is no time for you to spend on doing some sports, other than the regular walk in the park in a Sunday.
These being said, your lifestyle is actually a sedentary lifestyle. Many people living a sedentary lifestyle will eventually get fatter and will leave ‘space’ for different disorders to occur.
