The organism attacks the gluten as if it was an invader, which deteriorates the villi (line of small excrescences in the small intestine) that absorb nutrients when food passes into the small intestine.

Difficulties in nutrients absorption can inhibit mental development in children and can lead to deficiencies of all types in people of all ages.

  • B vitamins, especially B6 and B12

  • Zinc
